Become one with your surroundings
Experience the bush on foot with our Big5 bushwalk. Our walks are available in the mornings and the afternoons in 3 private big 5 reserves around Hoedspruit. A Wonderful way to experience the bush and become one with your surroundings. Our walking safaris are guided by a qualified trails guide and a coffee and tea stop is provided after the walk. Sunrise bush walks along the Olifants river provide a scenic experience with wildlife filling the river and the birdlife high in the tree canopies along the banks. Sunrise and Sunset bush walks are available on Reitspruit private game reserve which offers a remarkable experience to walk at sunrise and sunset where the lions roam and the birdlife surround you from dusk till dawn.
Should the bush be too thick, a drive will then take place.
Please note: This activity is only offered from April to November as the summer months are too hot and very thick.
What to wear:
- Comfortable walking shoes (no sandals or slops)
- Sunhat for protection from the sun
- High socks if walking in shorts to protect from ticks
